Summer 2022 Programs for Ages 5-9 and 10-14!
First, the FUN STUFF! Here are some of the activities we have planned for the lazy, hazy, days of summer here at Peter Pan at the farmhouse! Let’s play the way it used to be! Our program is relaxed and has a low-demand, high-in-fun environment. We do what the kids want to do!
Water play with sprinklers and squirt toys!
Explore the hiking trails on conservation land right across the street!
Decorate our walking path around the farmhouse with gnome homes, fairy, houses, and painted rock creations!
Create our own obstacle courses!
Play basketball, kickball, wiffleball, volleyball, ladder ball, dodgeball, and any other games we can think of using a ball!
Light up opponents with Laser Tag!
Fix up your own tree fort!
Eat frozen treats!
Lay in the grass and look at cloud formations!
Get artistic with our art supplies, make a friendship bracelet, , paint a picture with paints or diamonds, or get crazy with gimp or duct tape!
Choose from easy breezy to brainy strainy board games!
Dance, comedy, and karaoke parties might be fun!
And ANYTHING else that is fun and makes you enjoy being a kid on summer vacation!

Second, the BORING DETAILS FOR PARENTS. The same award-winning social skills program that runs during the school year, is back in extended summer form! Think of it as the peer hangout opportunities that kids need for social growth, confidence, and success with a social safety net layered underneath. It is 9 hours of direct social coaching every week!
Every day will include camper-inspired games and activities with ample free-choice time. Kids are encouraged but never forced, to try new things and learn to initiate and negotiate interactions with peers. Social skills coaching is the backbone of the program and is provided consistently throughout to reinforce the practice and application of skills.
Most kids know what they should do in social scenarios when asked, but are not necessarily able to apply that knowledge in real situations. Using our unique, and in-the-moment brand of social coaching, we help kids learn to interact, by actually hanging out together and interacting. The hardest times for many kids are activities and environments where the structure is scarce. Coaching provides the tips, tools, and advice to more successfully generalize these skills to other settings.
The program meets three times a week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 AM-Noon. There are eight weeks available from the weeks of July 5th through August 23rd with flexible enrollment (choose one, two, or all eight weeks).
A minimum of 4 participants is required to hold a program week, and there is a maximum of 12 spots each week.
Reserve your teen’s spot now deposit-free and I will arrange payment directly with you before the program starts. Tuition for a program week is $450 (credit card), $425 (check, Venmo, or Zelle) or take advantage of a cash discount for $400. 9 hours of social coaching is normally $540, so summer is a great time to help your child gain skills at a very reduced tuition rate.
The program will be held outside at my antique farmhouse, on an acre of land in a beautiful spot in Boxborough. We also have an indoor clubhouse space to utilize in inclement weather and for table games and activities.
Participants will bring their own water bottles and snacks (I will have extra on hand just in case).
Not every program fits every child. Please check the guidelines on the registration form to decide if your child is ready for social coaching. If you are unsure, I’m happy to chat about it with you.
If you have questions or would like to discuss your child’s needs for support before registering, please contact me at dshea.peterpancenter@gmail.com or call/text 978/413-1965.

“The summer program was perfect for my 6-year-old. He loved it and received a lot of social coaching at the same time. I loved that they spent so much time outdoors in a beautiful setting with many fun activities to choose from. I also greatly appreciated the multiple coaches who supported, entertained, and interacted with the kids. Donna gave me detailed feedback over the course of the week/summer that was so helpful. We look forward to going back! ” – C.H.
